Wolverine (Living Legend - Wolverine is the man responsible for the empire that is SHSD. He created the site and currently funds it. Over his SHSD career, he has held many high accolades including X-Men leader and founder, Secret Wars 1 Winner, multiple RP Awards, and Weapon X founder. He began his SHSD career as Gambit before switching to Wolverine. Wolverine also wrote the first two Secret War events.)

Bloodstorm (Living Legend - Bloodstorm first joined the site as Nightcrawler and switched characters to Bloodstorm after getting this site printed in the UK's X-Men comic, Essential X-Men. He can be credited for keeping the site alive in its early days as this brought many characters to the site. He has been a Partial leader of the X-Men, a member of the Horsemen, a member of Weapon X, and led Monroe Investigations for short period of time. He has won multiple RP Awards.)

Huntress (Living Legend - Phoenix has been a very effective site Mod for some time, and has carried the site with only Bloodstorm's aid several times. He has won the RP Award on a few occasions and has led his own team, the Hellfire Club. He has also been a part of the Crusaders, the X-Men, and the Brotherhood.  Phoenix can also claim that he has been one of the most dominant participant in Secret Wars I and II, even eliminating Wolverine in the second event. He has recently switch to Huntress after over three years as Phoenix and is now the head mod of SHSD.)

Batman (Living Legend - Batman first joined the site as Gambit and has also played as Ultron. He has been a member of many teams during his long membership to SHSD, including the X-Men, Crusaders, Weapon X, and currently, the JLA. He is one of the very best role players in SHSD's 5 year history, and continues to impress with every win of the RP Award. He was also a Mod himself for a short period of time.)

Wonder Man (Living Legend - Wonder Man first joined the site as Supergirl, and has won several RP Awards along with the biggest event in the history of SHSD, Secret Wars 2. Wonder Man is one of the best Role Players in the history of SHSD and is consistent with every RP. He puts 101% of his effort into his RP's and that has earned him a spot among the elite. He has also been Nightwing as well as his most famous character, Catwoman.)

Iron Man (Living Legend - Iron Man is one of the rare few that have never switched characters since starting their career on SHSD. As far as teams go, he started off as part of SHIELD and later moved on to lead the Avengers, which is unquestionably one of the greatest teams in the history of SHSD. He's also won a few RP Awards himself, and displays what a team leader should be through his team's unity.)

Pete Wisdom (Living Legend - Pete Wisdom is a staple in SHSD. He first joined as Vegeta in his early days, and had played as several Anime characters before finding his niche as Sage. Eventually, he switched characters to Meggan, and when that didn't work out, decided to go with pete Wisdom. He has been a part of many teams, including SHIELD, the X-Men, and Excalibur. Pete Wisdom has also won a few RP Awards himself.)

Gambit (Living Legend - Gambit was a mainstay on the X-Men since joining the site and helped propel that team to greatness. He has won multiple RP Awards and always puts his all into his RPs.)

Hawkeye (Living Legend - After having a hugely successful run as Black Knight, who dominated in the first two Secret Wars, he stalked us all as Apocalypse. Afterwards he rejoined the Avengers as Hawkeye and has since led them on many wonderful adventures. Together with the rest of his teammates, he has provided the site with some amazing RPs. Hawkeye is also currently a weekly battle Mod.)

Mulitple Man (Living Legend - After first coming on the scene as Blob, he started the longest lasting and hardest hitting villain team in site history, the Brotherhood. He was also Toad and more famously Avalanche before becoming Multiple Man. He is still involved in the Brotherhood, but spends most of his time running his detective agency and creating some of the best stories of his career.)

Pyro (Living Legend - Pyro is one of the people that have gone the longest without ever changing characters. As a major player in the Brotherhood and as a teacher at Xaviers, Pyro has increasingly fleshed out his character to unheard of proportions. He has one several RP Awards, each one heavily deserved. Now he leads the nation of Latveria along with his fellow teammates. )

Warwolf (Living Legend - Warwolf has massacred people on both sides of the fence as members of the Brotherhood and SHIELD. He has been Storm, Poison Ivy, Spiral and She-Hulk, with his most popular and long running character, Sabretooth. He is currently a battle mod.)

Superboy (Living Legend - Superboy started his career as Superman before changing to Lobo for a short time. As Superman, he fought valiantly along his fellow heroes, but his most famous body of work was his School Days storyline. Phoenix killed Superman, but later raised a reserected version of him named Nathan, who later joined the Hellfire Club. After his run with Lobo, he changed to Superboy and was one of the masterminds behind World War III and One Year Later.)

Robin (Living Legend - Robin joined the shortlived team, The Outsiders, as Deadpool shortly before changing to his most successful character, Robin. As Robin, he has become a part of the most RP Award winning group, Agents of the Bat and become battle mod.)

Nightwing (Living Legend - As Joker he joined the Brotherhood and then the Hellfire Club. Shortly after he became the Black King, Sebastian Shaw and helped steal the island of Manhattan. After Hellfire disbanded, he became Havok and started the short lived X-Factor. Afterwards he changed to Nightwing and after his Outsiders team failed, he started Agents of the Bat. Since changing to Nightwing, he has won numerous RP Awards and is an influentiable member of the site. The character of Nightwing is currently presumed dead.)

Nick Fury (Retired-Nick Fury first joined the site as Deadpool and had won more RP Awards than anyone else (17) in SHSD history. He has led SHIELD, Wakandan Special Forces, and Justice For Hire. He and Black panther carried SHSD on their backs when it seemed the site would close after Wolverine lost interest.)

Magneto (Retired-The last remaining member of the UK Invasion form Essential X-Men. Magneto first joined as Bishop and has won many RP Awards in his long SHSD career. He has been part of many teams, such as the X-Men, SHIELD, The World's Strongest, Hellfire Club, and currently, the Avengers. He is the most powerful villain on the site and has been for years. He also managed to snag a victory with his team in Secret Wars 2.)

Captain Mar-Vell (Retired-Captain Mar-Vell was, without a doubt, the most innovative member of SHSD. Since his career began, he created a web comic RP, a silent RP with only pictures, and the Site-Wide event. He was an RP of the Week Moderator twice, and has been a great judge and has, himself, won a few RP of the Week awards. He was Genis and Aquaman before becoming Captain Mar-Vell.)

Punisher (Retired-Punisher is a close friend of Wolverine's in real life, and took over the site by himself when Wolverine quit. During his time on SHSD, Punisher managed to have many great battles and formed the team known as Rough Justice, one of SHSD's first non-mutant superhero teams. He was also a very gifted Role Player, and may one day return to SHSD.)

Superman (Retired-A very gifted role player, Superman later switched characters to the Joker, an anime character, and finally, Mr. Freeze. Superman, however, was his first and best character. During his time here, he was part of Rough Justice, and later, as the Joker, the World's Strongest.)

Black Panther (Retired-Black Panther is one of Nick Fury's closest friends in real life, and helped him take over the site after the Punisher quit running it. He will forever be remembered for having some of the funniest RP's of all time. He also co-led SHIELD, Heroes For Hire, and Wakandan Special Forces with Deadpool. It has been said that he will never return, but anything can happen on SHSD.)

Piccolo (Retired-Piccolo was the first actual recruitment on SHSD and led the Z-Warriors upon his arrival. During his time on the site, he had many memorable battles, and even participated in the first ever battle on the site against the original Wolverine, a battle in which he won. )

Apocalypse (Retired-Part of the UK Invasion. Apocalypse led the first ever villain team on the site, the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse, that seemed to take on a different group of heroes every single week. The X-Men and the Horsemen had a memorable feud, one that even cost the X-Men several of their members as they were turned into Horsemen of Apocalypse.)

Archangel (Retired-Archangel was part of the UK Invasion and was Apocalypse's brother. During his time on SHSD, Archangel was a part of both the X-Men and the Horsemen of Apocalypse. He was definitely one of the best Role Players of that generation, and may very well be one of the best Role Players of all time along with his brother.)

Spot (Retired-Kenny "Kaboom" Cannon played the Spot, one of the oddest character choices ever witnessed on the site. Probably second only to Mr. Mind. As the Spot, Kenny managed to make him a Jedi Knight and helped form Rough Justice with the Punisher. He actually made you take the Spot seriously. Well, as serious as you possibly can take a guy named the Spot.)

Cypher (Retired-Cypher was honestly one of the funniest Role Players in the history of the site. He basically started Cypher off with a clean slate, and made him a comedic masterpiece. He first joined the site as Deadpool, and then later switched to Cypher. He attempted Spider-Man for a short while, but was unable to break the character curse, and decided to stick with what he was best at, and that was Cypher. Cypher won several RP Awards in his time, and was a prominent member of the X-Men. He also helped form the Reservoir Dogs as Deadpool, but that was short lived in his early SHSD career.)

Mystique (Retired - The most popular of the female villains, she instilled fear and creativity in all that crossed her. Despite that, she was a mother figure to us all and was a great friend and inspiration. )

Shadowcat (Retired - Jason truely nailed the character of Kitty Pryde and became a staple of the X-Men. Both he and RoboKitty had a great deal of serious and hilarious adventures. He was also an excellent RP Judge. )

There have been many great teams over the years of this great site. Many have come and gone, but like a dead comic character...like Gwen Stacy, are never forgotten. We present to you SHSD's...

10. The Hellfire Club
Although appearing to be inactive at times, the Hellfire Club was a pretty strong staple in SHSD for quite some time. They had many great RP's and very powerful members in the forms of Magneto, Polaris, and Phoenix. Their greatest achievement was taking over the United States and "kidnapping" the island of Manhattan.

9. Z-Warriors
Back in the SHSD's Golden Age, when characters of all genres were part of the site, there existed the Z-Warriors. The Z-Warriors was the second team ever on SHSD and was also one of the best, fighting the X-Men in the first ever team battle. They lost, but still gave a solid effort. The team was comprised of characters from the hit cartoon, Dragonball Z. The team was led by Piccolo, the first SHSD recruit ever.

8. Rough Justice
This team was SHSD's greatest non-mutant team at one point. With founding members like the Punisher, the Spot(yes, the Spot...the goofiest Spider-Man villain ever), Vash the Stampede, and Superman, Rough Justice had some of the site's greatest role players and most powerful characters at the time. They had an epic feud with the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse. Unfortunately, the team eventually fell to inactivity as many members computers failed on them and left only a few more members around, but without the whole original team, it fell through.

7. Wakandan Special Forces
WSF was the third team ever created in SHSD's history. It was led by both Black Panther and Deadpool and served as the Golden Age's comic relief team, this time not going OOC because most of the characters were played right. Through they're role plays, the WSF had a very interesting roster of NPC characters to go along with their crazy role plays, such as Freefall, Green Arrow, Savage Dragon, Conan the Barbarian, and Everett K. Ross. They defeated the X-Men in the second team battle on the site. This team later evolved into Justice For Hire which later evolved into SHIELD

6. The Horsemen of Apocalypse
The most dominant and feared villain team on the site at one point. Since it was the ONLY villain team at that point, they had to fight off just about everyone, and they did a heck of a job succeeding! The Four Horsemen were led by Apocalypse and consisted of Death, Famine, War, and Pestilence. The Horsemen ranks were rotated frequently at soem points. Horsemen included Archangel, Bloodstorm, Juggernaut, Omega Red, Wolverine (original), Geese Howard, and Diablo. They had many memorable fights against Superman, Punisher, and various other Rough Justice members as well as the X-Men, then led by Gambit. Their most memorable fight, without a doubt, was a team battle between them and the X-Men in Magda Square. It was possibly the single greatest battle in the site's history. Sadly, though, the team fell apart when members left the site and the main leaders left after the main Mod took a leave from the site.

5. Weapon X
Weapon X proved to be the greatest threat ever seen in the history of SHSD. The team was ruthless and leaderless, actually assimilating other teams. Weapon X soon destroyed the X-Men, actually taking the team apart and forcing them to join their group. After taking over the X-Mansion and the X-Men themselves, Weapon X turned to the Brotherhood, and through a foolproof role play, destroyed their secret Muir Island base and leveling Mutant Town for good measure. It was later revealed that the main benefactor of the Weapon X Program was the President of the United States himself, George Bush. Weapon X then defeated the Avengers in a war that decimated the city of Detroit. After taking apart every super team the SHSD had to offer, Weapon X collapsed as the X-Men escaped their powerful grasp, killing the Director in the process.

4. S.H.I.E.L.D.
This team was definitely the most powerful at one point. Led by Nick Fury and Black Panther, they were allies, and sometimes enemies, to The World's Strongest. SHIELD brought along all of its original NPC characters from the WSP/JFH and used them well as agents of SHIELD. Later on in SHIELD's existence, Magneto joined on as another co-leader. After a long hiatus, SHIELD came out of retirement with Nick Fury taking the ledership helm once again, with a whole new team of super agents. SHIELD was destroyed by the events of WWIII, but have recently been put back together by Pete Wisdom and have taken in the remnants of the X-Men as well as many others. They are a team to look out for.

3. The Brotherhood
SHSD's best villain teams to date. They have gained status as being the most deceitful and underhanded team in the site's history by bending some site rules (which wasn't allowed and won't be again). The team was originally led by the Blob, who later switched to lead as the Toad, who is now playing as Multiple Man as of this writing. He is, quite possibly, the mastermind behind it all. The current team leader is Pyro. Their highest accolades are destroying the X-Mansion and the SHIELD Hellicarrier. They are mainly a mutant team with a few extra bad guys added in for good measure. Recently, the Brotherhood has rebuilt Mutant Town as holy ground for mutants and after serving Lex Luthor during World War 3, have taken to the country of Latveria and now rule it with an iron fist. The Brotherhood have proven time and time again that life is not black and white. They are not heroes nor villains, but they are and forever be a force to be reckoned with.

2. X-Men
The team goes down in history just for being the first team ever to be introduced into the world of SHSD. The X-Men were founded by Gambit (now Wolverine) and Wolverine (original) when there were only six members on the site. Eventually, the team grew stronger and stronger as more mutants joined. Among them was Nightcrawler, who currently plays as Bloodstorm, who has also led the team on a few occasions. In the beginning, the X-Men accepted every mutant that joined the site, even Deadpool for a short period of time before he formed his own team, the Wakandan Special Forces. The X-Men battled every worth-while team and character ever on the site, defeating just about every one of them. There have been so many X-Men over SHSD's years of existence that even SHSD's creator can't count, like Gambit, Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, Bloodstorm, Cypher, Mimic, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Morph, Domino, Jubilee, Phoenix, Beast, Archangel, Bishop, Deadpool, X-Man, Iceman, Cable, Rogue, Psylocke, and many, many more. Many characters have even been played by various players. The X-Men were once the largest team in SHSD's history. The X-Men, as stated in Weapon X's entry, were defeated and assimilated into the Weapon X team, destroying the X-Men. It was not until months later that they finally returned after breaking free of Weapon X's control. The X-Men are forever scarred, however, as Professor Xavier himself gave up on the dream and left his X-Men. Still, the X-Men were able to move on, reopening Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters to the public.

1. Avengers
Marvel Comics' main superhero team. This team was started and is currently led by Iron Man. The Avengers first started off as a branch of SHIELD, and eventually, broke off to create the legendary team that it is today. It has had many members and is still one of SHSD's strongest teams to date, they've even defeated the Uncanny X-Men in a team battle, which is no small task. They are great because they display a kind of unique team unity that no other team on the site does, not to mention that have have been around for 3+ years on the site. The Avengers even have their own website, that can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/shsdavenger/index.html
Since the X-Men's end, they have come together with various great team storylines week after week, something the X-Men were rarely able to accomplish. Once again, the Avengers prove that they are Earth's greatest superheroes!

Through SHSD's years, there have been a lot of memorable events, achievements, and special records that should not be forgotten...and some that should!

2. First team to actually "impress" the Beyonder
Wolverine, Captain Mar-Vell, Batman, Juggernaut, and Magneto

3. Biggest Shock
Weapon X seemingly coming from nowhere and defeating the X-Men. Not only were the X-Men defeated, but the oldest and strongest team in the history of SHSD was taken as part of Weapon X, forcing the X-Men, SHSD's oldest and most legendary team, to cease to exist. During the same story, the Incredible Hulk was brought in right before the X-Men, foreshadowing what was to come.

4. Biggest Flop...EVER
The Onslaught tournament. The idea was cool and excited everyone. The prize was a large amount of SD bucks, stat points, and a complete set of Origin comic books to the tournament winner. Since Origin was delayed, however, the MOD running it got bored of the entire saga because it was so long and just quit doing it and took a long hiatus from SHSD, giving Punisher the reigns to the site. Punisher later relinquished his MOD duties and gave them to Deadpool and Black Panther, who controlled the site for several months until the creator, Wolverine, finally came back, bringing in a gigantic flood of new players with him.

Batman vs. Sage in the Secret Wars. Sage, an opponent that is already stronger than Batman, draws in to fight Batman...who only has one hit point left! Somehow, Batman lays the smackdown on Sage, bringing her ALL the way down to 3 HP before she finally hits him. He hit her with two Nullification gun blasts, rolled his power twice, and landed two sleeping gas attacks! He lost the fight, but definitely showed courage, beating Sage to her last legs and causing her to lose to Shadowcat, a relatively new character, in the next round.
